Borussia Dortmund is still waiting for their first goal in this year's Champions League group stage. Against Sturm Graz, the black and yellow played 0-0 after just under an hour.
The German runner-up was the clear favorite in front of their home crowd, but they had a hard time against the courageous guests from Austria.
The best chance for BVB so far was a header from Anthony Modeste in the 27th minute, but he missed the goal by just a few centimeters.
Sturm Graz was dangerous on the counterattack several times and even had the lead in the 37th minute when Emanuel Emegha hit the post.
In the second half, BVB increased the pressure, but the Graz defense held firm.
In the 67th minute, Modeste had another good chance, but his shot went just wide.
BVB will have to improve significantly in the remaining 23 minutes if they want to win their first Champions League game of the season.
