Panthers to Kick Off Season with ACC Foe

Florida International University's 2024 football schedule has been released, and the Panthers will open the season with a home game against an ACC opponent for the first time in program history. FIU will host the Boston College Eagles on Aug. 31, 2024, at Riccardo Silva Stadium.

Key Matchups

• Boston College (Aug. 31): The Panthers will look to start the season strong against an ACC opponent for the first time ever.
• Florida (Sept. 7): FIU will travel to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators in a non-conference matchup.
• UCF (Sept. 14): The Panthers will host their in-state rival, the UCF Knights, in a battle for the War on I-4 trophy.
• Middle Tennessee (Sept. 21): FIU will face Middle Tennessee in a non-conference matchup at home.
• Liberty (Sept. 28): The Panthers will travel to Lynchburg, Virginia, to take on Liberty in a non-conference matchup.

The Panthers will also face six Conference USA opponents during the 2024 season, including home games against Charlotte, Old Dominion, and UAB. FIU will travel to face Florida Atlantic, Louisiana Tech, and Rice.

The Panthers will look to build on their success from the 2023 season, when they finished 8-5 overall and 5-3 in Conference USA play. FIU will return a number of key players from last year's team, including quarterback Grayson James and running back Lexington Joseph.
