Live District of Columbia Election Results
Overview
As of 7:00 PM EST, the District of Columbia has begun reporting live election results for the 2023 mayoral and council races. Voters can find the latest results on the District's Board of Elections website.
The incumbent mayor, Muriel Bowser, is seeking a third term. She is facing a challenge from Councilmember Robert White and a number of other candidates.
The DC Council is also up for election, with all 13 seats on the ballot. A number of incumbents are facing challenges from newcomers, and there are several open seats.
Key Races to Watch
The mayoral race is the most closely watched race in the District. Bowser is a popular incumbent, but White is a well-known and respected councilmember. The race is expected to be close.
There are also a number of key races for the DC Council. In Ward 1, incumbent Brianne Nadeau is facing a challenge from former Councilmember Jim Graham. In Ward 3, incumbent Mary Cheh is facing a challenge from former Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner Matthew Frumin.
In Ward 4, incumbent Janeese Lewis George is facing a challenge from former Councilmember Elissa Silverman. In Ward 6, incumbent Charles Allen is facing a challenge from former Councilmember Tommy Wells.
How to Vote
Voters can vote in person at their assigned polling place on Election Day, November 8th. Voters can also vote by mail. Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by November 8th and received by the Board of Elections by November 14th.
