Montreat College Announces Historic Gift to Support New Nursing Simulation Lab and Nursing Faculty Endowment

Montreat College Receives Largest Gift in its 100+ Year History.

The $5 million gift from the Dogwood Health Trust will transform nursing education at the private Christian liberal arts college.

Montreat College has received a $5 million gift from Dogwood Health Trust, the largest gift in the College's 100+ year history. The gift will be used to establish a new state-of-the-art nursing simulation lab and endow a nursing faculty position.

The new simulation lab will provide nursing students with a realistic and immersive learning environment. The lab will be equipped with high-fidelity patient simulators, allowing students to practice their skills in a variety of clinical scenarios.

The endowed nursing faculty position will support the recruitment and retention of top-notch nursing faculty. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching nursing courses, conducting research, and mentoring students.
