Nepal Airlines Extends International Services to Dhaka, Bangladesh

Increased Connectivity to South Asia

Nepal Airlines, the national flag carrier of Nepal, has announced the expansion of its international services to Dhaka, Bangladesh. The new route will commence operations from June 15, 2023, connecting Kathmandu with the Bangladeshi capital.

The addition of Dhaka to Nepal Airlines' network will enhance connectivity between the two countries and facilitate trade and tourism. It will also provide Nepalese citizens with a direct air link to Bangladesh, making it more convenient for them to visit and do business there.

Flight Schedule and Fares

Nepal Airlines will operate two weekly flights between Kathmandu and Dhaka. The flights will depart from Kathmandu on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 9:00 AM and arrive in Dhaka at 10:20 AM. The return flights will depart from Dhaka on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 11:20 AM and arrive in Kathmandu at 12:40 PM.

Fares for the Kathmandu-Dhaka route start from NPR 12,000 (approximately USD 95) for a one-way ticket and NPR 22,000 (approximately USD 175) for a round-trip ticket. Taxes and surcharges are additional.

Gateway to South Asia

The expansion of Nepal Airlines' services to Dhaka is part of the airline's strategy to increase its presence in South Asia. Dhaka is a major commercial center and a gateway to other countries in the region, including India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

Nepal Airlines' new route will provide Nepalese businesses with direct access to the Bangladeshi market, while also making it easier for Bangladeshi tourists to visit Nepal. The airline is confident that the new service will be successful and will contribute to the growth of both countries' economies.
